Roof apartment

Conversion of an old attic into a duplex apartment:

Lightness is an essential element of this project. Not just by creating an abundance of daylight and monochrome white, but also by sensing the available space. By tearing down all the small dark attic rooms, Tine Loncin created an open space exposing the roof structure. By extending a curved wall from the front facade to the rear, she divides the open space into various functional areas without constricting them completely. Conveniently, the concave and convex sides of the wall are situated precisely where space is required. It makes this transformation of an old attic into a duplex apartment complete.
